I am currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Wesleyan University and a Visiting Research Scholar at the Center of Labor Economics at UC Berkeley.

In my research I work with large-scale microeconomic data to analyze different aspects of labor markets with econometric tools, or in more general terms I work with “big data” and statistical analysis of these data. In particular, I have looked at interesting topics such as the informal economy, gender, the impacts of conflicts and wars and consumption in developed and developing countries. I have published some of my work in academic journals and as policy papers.

In my varied career I have been fortunate enough so far to be working in different sectors: international organizations, education, private sector and even as a U.K. civil servant. I have travelled and worked in many different countries over the years.
